I got an email from Coalee telling me about *677 from cell phones - it is a line to the dispatch office of your local police station to let you know ifthe vehicle pulling you over is a legitimate cop - apparently people have been getting pulled over by "unmarked police cars" and they have been rapists or whatever. Anyway, you can dial this number just to check that the cop is for real.

Apparently police have to respect your right to keep going to a safe & quiet place. You obviously need to make some signals that you acknowledge them (I.e. put on
your hazard lights) or call *677.

*677 was a direct link to OPP Dispatch.
