This blog is officially 9 years old today! Otha's changed and morphed in its function and purpose, but is still a fun thing for me to do, so I think that's pretty awesome!

well, mostly.  I didn't manage to get the skirt trimmed because I got some sort of stomach thing that basically laid me out for several days, stewing in bed, but I got it to a wearable and mostly awesome point.  Here are a couple of pictures:

Which is not very interesting at the moment, and mostly involves me reporting the status of my sewing of costumes, but I will at some point actually have photos of the stuff that I have made (there are some in there now, but you;d have to go back to December).  Anyway, if any of you want to follow it in your RSS reader or whatever, it is here for your viewing pleasure. It's probably pretty boring to most of you, but I thought I would mention it. I'll put a link in my sidebar in case you want to find it in the future.

That is really impressive, even if just from a sheer numbers of fireworks point of view. I feel like there's some kid in the back just mashing on the "set the fireworks off" button like one would a game controller in a big battle. It's less artfully displayed than, say, a Disney show, but holy shit, that was a lot of sparkley!

I did keep wondering why they didn't form mouse ears. I think I have been trained. Go Disney, you win.
