That Chris and I are officially posting to our travel blog for the duration of the trip.

Also, I have started posting photos, to my Flickr account for the trip, although right now, they re mostly just of interesting buildings in Buenos Aires.

So, I cleaned out the sidebar. I took out all the crap that I think no one is using and left the stuff that i think people might need (like links to wish lists). If you see that something has disappeared that you liked, please let me know and I will add it back for you.

You may also have noticed a new link in the "Travel" section over there --> called "Paduans Travel Blog". Chris and I created a blog for us to post to while we are traveling so that people can keep track of us, which is not behind my super-security of this blog (and, more importantly, where I don't mind our moms going), which is specific to just that topic, and is one stop shopping for all the info you might want about our trips. We travel enough that we think it is warranted.

From this blog, we will link to our photos as well as information related to the destinations that we are going to. I put a link on the sidebar here in case you forget where the other one is. I will also send out an email pretty soon to everyone with the link to this blog so that people can follow.

Also of note is that I left comments enabled on that one. :-) We will be updating whenever we get to internet, so RSS following may be easier for you than checking it all the time.

Check out this article about "Map of Tasmania", which is Amanda Palmer's new song and video (the video is in the article and you shoudl at the very least watch it.

The song began as somewhat of a joke, a tossed off effort that Palmer wrote for a 2009 tour of Tasmania, the island off the coast of Australia, where the phrase "map of Tasmania" refers to a woman's patch of pubic hair, which shares the island's triangular shape.

Seriously, I am dying laughing here. What is more funny than the autocorrect nightmares, it's the way people react to them. It's awesome to know that i am not the only snarky bitch out there. :-)

Man, I am becoming one of those nuts that rants about the government on their blog all the time. Yep. Well, here's an awesome new law that you should know about:

The old adage goes: "innocent until proven guilty," but those lines may be blurred thanks in part to a new California law that allows officers to search your cell phone if you've been arrested. The law states that arrestees forfeit privacy rights to "anything of importance found on the arrestee’s body" once they've been taken into custody. So police now have the right to search your smartphone for any incriminating evidence on the scene, rather than getting a proper warrant to search your property.

Super.

The point is not what is on your cell phone, it's that they can do this at all, and it's a step toward being able to do it in your house without a warrant either. You and I don't have much they care about, so you might not really care, but you should take a moment and think about the fact that one of the things that we don't seem to have anymore that they don't care about is rights, and another is power to do much about it.
